How to install dyndns updater to windows INADYN

Ina­dyn ver. 1.96.2 Source Code + bina­ry for Win­dows and Linux
Win­dows Serv­er 2003 Resource Kit Tools

 

2) Install Win­dows Serv­er 2003 Resource Kit Tools ( work­ing on win 7 too ),

 

3) extract inadyn.v1.96.2.zip to your fold­er ( exam­ple D:\prog\inadyn )
and edit : configure_inadyn_service_dyndns.reg
add user, pass­word, dns alias
After you have fin­ished dou­ble click on the reg file.

   EXAMPLE : regFILE
   REGEDIT4
	[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\inadyn\Parameters]
	"Application"="D:\\prog\\inadyn\\inadyn.exe"
	"AppParameters"="--background -u user -p pass 
        --update_period 60000 --alias test.dyndns.org --log_file c:\\inadyn_srv.log"

 

4) INSTALL SERVICE
RUN COMMAND LINE WITH ADM. PRIVILEGIES
from com­mand line run install_inadyn_service.bat
and go to ControlPanel/AdministrativeTools/Services/inadyn and START the service.
Also make sure that the start­up mode is ‘auto­mat­ic’.

5) CHECK LOG FILE, if is all ok 
c:\\inadyn_srv.log
